A Million Miles To Croydon
by: Keith Fuchs

Like the Greeks and Trojans
A lady meek, provoked commotion
Hungry for a skirmish
Thirsty for lust, they were churning
with convulsions to crush.

See, my baby trotted the globe
Crossing the vast, Atlantic ocean.
Frantic she's gone, to England she goes
She's finally returned, gone back home.

Similar to me, in amity and harmony
Never a breach of concord or treaty
My gravest defeat, his greatest victory
The day she left me to return to the east.
After six years absence, finally
The two were joined in Finsbury.

See, my baby trotted the globe
Crossing the vast, Atlantic ocean.
Frantic she's gone, to England she goes
She's finally returned, gone back home
