Melting Pot (03182026)personally I don't eat everybody's gumbo I don't know what the big deal is about it gumbo is like potato salad it's a right way and a wrong way to make it according everyone's taste if you ask me "don't ask me" I'm not a food critic and I don't do food reviews but what I do know about it is the secret is in the roux it takes time to brew it originated from the boot it's full of herbs and ingredients and if you ain't careful you could get a root put on you |

Eye Popping (02212026)you can be aware of something's existence without focusing on its details I see it you see it "don't look at it" you looked at it didn't you "now it's in you" you can't forget it the thought haunts you think the evil out to get you "the devil don't wants you" who is the devil can't tell the difference I see twins you wanna scream don't you "do not scream" you screamed didn't you I know I know IT'S EVIL IN THE WORLD you didn't know evil been in the world it's evil in you to if you choose to activate the appetite for blood I see it you see it "don't look at it" you looked at it didn't you |
The Ups & Downs (02212026)the people on top don't know what goes on in the bottom the people in the bottom know everything that goes on at the top the difference between the two groups is the people in the bottom can survive either way the people at the top won't survive the fall |
A Kind Of Scene (02212026)you're in a crowd looking down you lift your head you're left alone to wonder where has everyone gone tired of waiting for them to return you go home you don't answer the phone not because someone called but because no one did you look out the window into the evergreen all you see is trees some look like they never were green some manage to hold onto most of their leaves some act like they don't know they're trees some of them are moved by the wind some of them refuse to bend some of them have lost their limbs some of them remember a time when some lean to the side some wave to people passing by sometimes in the quiet of night one might hear one cry why do willows weep it's so many different kind lining the street bearing a different kind of leaf |

Before The Ceiling Cracked (02202026)Gary went to the store to get a 5 lb sack of potatoes and two boxes of Hamburger Helper while fiening for dope he couldn't cope without a fix Gary rushed back to the house gave his mother the bag handed her the change then rushed out the door to hustle up enough to tend to his dying need Gary had enough his mother told him it was enough he knew it was enough but Gary was wise enough to know not to break the trust to get the drugs and shadder the foundation underneath him Gary was addicted to heroin but he was no heathen it's a powerful scene from The Corner most of us seen years ago that part deeply touched my heart in many ways memories of those days like grace and mercy love and respect for one another followed us through out the struggle of existence |
