A Litmus Test

Placed among the reeds

Baby Moses cried

visions of religions fade

blend together and apart

time clash

ancient civilizations crash

are we for the silent truth...

or do we represent the outrageous lie,

planting futuristic visions

of red seas parted

of people with reservations

on slave ships

bred like live stock for purposes

like purchases, on sale ...

for the test of time by those

who treat the bible like a whore

truth be told their will come a day

where truth cannot be ignored

when that day comes, might be tomorrow

don't hold your breath, might be later on this day

when an near endless cascade of sorrow

will find its way and touch you

in a way you cannot escape

and place you right black where it started

from at kingdom come... a river of tears,

unheard, where you, neither blind nor dumb

will feel the reel of time unwind

whose right or wrong... lost in the exposure

like a bomb dropped on ourselves

with no one there to right the wrongs

and cries of innocence fall

upon those listening/ no one

 whose rights, whose wrong

you were strong ...

and terrorized the weak

Gave trial by firefight,

assassination outright

to observe a claim to others wealth

not errors, deliberate theft

because trust was a weapon

not because you could,

what was Did and done

enriched the mighty...

those meeker were the Litmus test

no one spared, sharing crumbs

to foster loyalty

a feudalistic kleptocracy

a test case... back to the beaker,

DNA as evidence will attest

more than the lies those you employ

to judge morality...

now just ones

in the line behind you

on the day

all must be judged

worthy...

or not
