No Other Lover
Don't know what it is
about you
As i lay here and ponder
about our loving thing and what it means for me
crossing a river in my dreams
lost in the drift of passions pleasures,
and when the tides turn against us
overflowing into our worlds,
despite our best intentions to counteract
their ill effects
we merge facing the impossible
together, you and i
following our hearts back to our beginnings, blending tears
we touch, we kiss, we laugh
and sing, doing a joyous dance
to celebrate our love
our minds flourish,
whenever we are together
evident even by reflections in other peoples watching, smiling
washing away our cares,
diminishing our fears
sailing further on,
from our warm loving waters
drifting gently into calming seas
Sometimes though we must think of living through these times
...of the harsh realities...
which uninvited come to us
of worlds lost between

what it is you bring of me
There is no other lover
in my mind, my heart and soul
It is in your heart i see
a butterfly
which flutters by
a hummingbird delivering the letter
of your love,
i listen intently to its voice
absorbing every word
expressions of love magic
so beautifly touching me
