All of the work I post on this platform, my poems and the copyrighted episodes I release alongside my videos, is part of a larger creative series under my company, Another K Production, LLC. My writing is intentional, structured, and part of a complete creative universe I’ve built over time.
Because of that, I take the presentation of my work seriously.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Sparkling diamonds, such a joy to see, wear
From the jewels embedded in my earlobes, adorned around my neck
To the crown of prominence resting atop my curly hair
Whose hands dipped into the Motherland to give me my illustrious shine
Sweltering in the heat to siphon consumerism out of those diamond mines
Violating the earth of its unclaimed resource
My babies snatched from my arms, marched to labor without a choice
Conflict in the toil night and day
No feast to the table to eat
Gun toting under a political regime’s watchful eye, hands cut off for the disobeyed

Indoctrinated kid slaves unto its nation kneel in mud, murky waters, yet no time to pray

LITTLE PEOPLE

Friday Evening
I had my Goddaughter with me for the entire weekend. Her parents had to attend a wedding in Washington, D.C, so guess who was appointed to care for her for two days. That’s a lifetime to me. Now, take in consideration. I am used to going and coming as I please, no little person under the age of nine, being in charge of my existence.
I had to postpone my workout session on Saturday afternoon to get up and cook? Who me? The queen of yogurt, soy, tofu and flaxseed. We started out on a bad foot, in regards to my strict vegetarian diet. I had to actually go grocery shopping at the break of dawn.
I grabbed my small shopping cart, after she demanded I wipe it down two more times. Then I had to literally pick her up and assist her in getting inside the cart…a cart, really. What is the world coming too?

Welcome to the New World Order. I have always stood steadfast in my observation: the chaos of this world will never boil down to Black and White. No, it will come down to the Haves and the Have Nots. That outdated ideology of racial superiority is no longer a manifesto for anyone to hover around. If you continue to believe in that falsehood, you will walk around hungry like everyone else.
