Faith over Fear

Do you Truly trust God?

We’ve all heard of, “In God we trust.”  
We’ve heard it and seen it. It’s on the back of Every dollar bill.  
Pull out a dollar bill, a 1, a 5, a 20 and see.

My question is, do you Truly trust God?

The reason I’m asking is, the problem I’m seeing is, some people pick and choose what areas (if any) of their lives they trust God for, and that shouldn’t be. You’ve got to learn to trust God in EVERY area of your life.

What I mean by pick and choose is, you trust God for this, but not for that.

You can’t say you trust God and then straddle the fence, where sometimes you do and sometimes you don’t.  
You can’t say you trust God and then turn around and say, but.  
There’s No “But.” You either trust Him or you don’t, there’s NO in between.

Do you Truly trust God?

You say you trust God for your finances, BUT then “worry” about bills and the lack of money, ...

Faith over Fear

Many have heard the saying "Faith over Fear," and for a long time, I truly believed that. I would often say, “You gotta have Faith over Fear, and would constantly tell it to people whom I knew needed to hear it.  
I even have necklaces that say, “Faith over Fear.” 

Well, one day the meaning hit my brain differently. I said to myself, “If you have Faith over Fear, that means the Fear is still there.”  
Whereas the saying should just say Faith, not Faith over Fear.

Let me break it down like this -  
If you hang a Blue picture (let’s say it’s Fear) on the wall, and you hang a Yellow picture (let’s say it’s Faith) over the Blue one, you still have both pictures hanging on the wall.  
The only difference is, you have one over the other.

Over Thanking

Over thanking, are you serious?  
There is no such thing, especially when it comes to our Father and the goodness of God’s mercy and grace.  
I believe God actually loves over thanking.  
To me it shows Him gratitude, appreciation and gratefulness.  
Have you thanked God today?  

There is so much that we are blessed with and given that goes unnoticed and overlooked.

Do you know who truly woke you up this morning? And no, it wasn’t no cell phone, alarm clock, yo wife, yo children, or your roommate. Hell, it wasn’t even you. It was God and God only! Did you thank Him yet?

Do you know who provided you with the strength, wisdom and knowledge to perform the work at your job today? God did. Did you say thank You to Him?

Do you know who forgives you over and over and over and over for all your sins? And then you sin again, and guess what? He forgives you again. My question...

What did you do last week?

So yall, an email was sent out asking, "What did you do last week? Me, I did the same thing I do every week and every day. 

Worship God  
Praise God  
Trust God  
Pray to God  
Thank God

Holding on to the God rail

There are times in life where you may think life is not fair just because to you things are not working out the way you want them to. During that time you may not be able to fully understand the process as the pieces of your journey is being connected, but I say to you, continue holding on to the God rail.

There are times when what the doctor says can alter your mood, your thinking, your attitude, or even your life. But I say to you, do not be discouraged. Whether what the doctor said was good or bad, always remember, God is in control. Keep your mind and focus on Him and continue holding on to the God rail.

In life you will have highs and lows, ups and downs, heartbreaks and heartaches, times of uncertainty and disappointments, but I say to you, through it all, continue holding on to the God rail.

One of the toughest times you will be tested is during your bereavement. That will be a time more than ever that you will have to hold on to your God rail.

Think and then Thank

Think of a time when your rent was due and it got paid and then, thank God.
Think of a time when you got fired and then, thank God.  
Think of a time when you were sooo drunk, yet you still made it home safely and then, thank God.
Think of the times when you look at your phone and there are NO missed calls or text messages and then, thank God.  
Think of your endurance and strength and then, thank God. Think of God’s love for you and then, thank God.

Think of the times you had dirty dishes in the sink and then, thank God. Think of the approvals and non-approvals and then, thank God.  
Think of when you go home and turn the lights on and they actually come on and then, thank God.  
Think of the goodness, mercy and grace of God and then, thank God.

Think of being able to choose which shoes to wear and then, thank God. Think of a time when you had a successful surgery and then, thank God. Think of when y...

Thank You God for NOT...

So yall, there are times in my life where I can reflect back and even now say, “Thank You God for NOT..."

Thank You God for NOT letting me get married.
There was a time in my life where I was going to get married and I asked God, if this marriage is not meant to be, then don’t let it happen. Well, it didn't happen.
To others, it looked like I didn’t get the answer I wanted, but to God (and to me), I got the answer I needed. Thank You God.

Thank You God for NOT letting me get that promotion.
I am a firm believer of what God has for me is for me. This was not for me. This was someone else’s blessing. God had something different and better in store for me.

Thank You God for NOT allowing me to suffer.
Thank You God for NOT letting this situation break me.

Thank You God for NOT letting him come over that night.
So yall, there was a time (years ago) when my male friend said he was on his way and didn’t come.

God your Mind

God your mind - Think Godly thoughts.
God your steps - Allow God to walk with you and direct your path.
God your tongue - There is Power in the tongue, speak positivity.
God your heart - God so loves the world, let’s Love like God loves.

Trust God and KNOW, with God, God will guard you.

Dear God,
Thank You Father for Your Peace.

Dear World, 
I don’t pray for world peace, I pray for God’s peace for the world. 
His peace brings calmness, simplicity and patience in your life. God’s peace is an insurmountable peace that this world cannot give you.

John 14 vs. 27 (NKJV) says - Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Philippians 4 vs. 7 (NKJV) says - and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

For THIS peace, you cannot walk in Walgreens or Walmart and say, “Excuse me, what aisle is your peace on?
