If I haven’t told you 

I love you enough,

then enough is enough.

I’m removing u 

from the word 

so I’d say as much.

Who ever knew such

a verb can be so

re-noun, so up front.

A refusal to be in 

the back of the line, a

refusal of being brunt.

So dangerous

Just know that if ever

we come under attack

I’m fighting for us.

I love you much, very,

and again I’m sorry

if enough wasn’t enough.

Let's burn a candle,

one for each time we've kissed.

Let's look into each flicker 

and watch while our love wicks.

Don't wince, as every moment 

won't be easy to gaze upon.

Like nights turn to days 

each light will be a different one.

Different reasons to keep

guidance towards what sets us apart.

Different reasons to come to the 

same standards in terms of the heart.

heightened emotions 

tearing her eye line 

before contact with arid lips.

Her snivels were blips 

like lost words 

longing for a pen 

and I called her Diary.

She scribed with me, 

everything that wasn't 

dear to her heart and we 

filled the first page.

Hollow was my hurt 

in my chest, weightless 

as she was no burden 

while she penned her grief.

eye's glass while we

gazed upon bodies of art.

If I was your lover kidnapped

you grant the perp's payday?

Do the weight of your pockets

out weigh the sum of your love for me?

Would you be willing to lose it

all, either way?

There's only one correct answer.

To go broke, easy.

If not, it would be the worse

way to leave me-screaming.

Knowing we didn't really

amount to anything.

We could have been a great story,

but you pushed us to the back shelf.

Shushed us like a school librarian

keeping our voiced words un-felt.

Tucked off to a nook by the foyer,

"Pfft", can't you see the dust here?"

Is it not clear to you too that we

may get sick of us, "huh dear?"

"No", "No", "No tears"

"You'll only make the matter worse."

Just hold your chin up, "there, there",

now speak out, tell me where it hurts.

Don't worry my love,

put your burdens on me;

let my eyes be weary as

I am makeup free.

Accept the third degree

whilst you burn all

the bridges to everything

that keeps you unhappy.

Meanwhile I'll wear

that hurt too, for it isn't

worth your fashion sense

being un-pretty.

And don't have pity

on me, as I have seen you

hurt worse; just heal and

don't mind my suffering.

Things That Make Sense to Me

I wouldn’t kiss you if you told me to,

while I’d prefer to look into your eyes

first.

I would rather be without you

sometimes to feel it in my heart how it

hurts.

I’ll die trying to love you perfectly,

cause denying it’s impossible is

concurred.

I couldn’t possibly move mountains

for you, but I can move words to make

sure you are heard.

I could hug you, yet I won’t because

holding you is a more secure event.

I’d pour my all into you, as what’s mine

is yours even if I’m left spent.
