Truth be told
Each individual faces
Their own tribulations
Yet it’s never about waiting
For the prize to fall into your lap.
You’ve got to fight for what you want.
Never look back.

It’s those kind of women
I have in my heart.
Courageous beyond meaning.
Victims of pain
But queens in the healing.
You ladies bring a new definition
To strength
To have you would be beyond
The glories of angels and saints

I do praise what you have paved
For yourself today
Although this new age brings
Torturous upturns
You never sway away
The modern super woman
Engraved.
Made to stay.

You carry all kinds of weight
Not the type that a scale can read.
But that of heartache and
Mistreat
Somebody left you
Without saying goodbye.
Fatherless children
Raised by their mothers
Growing up
Taught to love thy brother

Can I be proud for that woman
Working three jobs
Motivated by her children’s beautiful faces
She wakes up each morning
Saying grace to one Jesus.

Then it’s off to a routine
She couldn’t forget
Even if she can’t find one reason
To get out of bed.
She does it.

Women you need for someone to
Hold you
To look you in the eyes and tell you
Just how appreciated you are
For being that number one superstar.

Whether you work behind a desk
Or take out the trash.
Sophisticated with no roughness
To the touch of your hands.

Molded from the ribs of a man.
She drew up from the dust.
Ready to fire off her guns.

To you I SALTUE
For getting through.
Coming out with a full set of limbs

Using your intellect for the right passages
Your female intuition flattering.

You must not prove to yourself
What you already know.
There is only what you do

What you don’t.
