My Momma
Damn near 40 years of hitting the pipe,
Damn momma,
Ain't you tired,
Of chasing that high,
Can't you see,
You're not flying,
Instead your dying.
Say, you hear the lion's roar,
But ignore,
The cries, of your crack babies,
Begging and pleading,
Just put the pipe down momma.
Say your friends love you,
They take great care of you,
But where are they,
When your belly is rumbling?
Where are they,
When you have no place to stay?
Those that cared,
You pushed away,
Manipulated,
Took advantage of the daughters that where there,
The ones that showed you love and care,
They begged and pleaded with you,
Cried out for you,
Now all they can do is pray for you.
The ones that ignored you,
Claim to love you but secertly hated you,
Blame you for all there down falls,
Disrespected and fought with you,
Were placed on a pedestal,
Treated like gold,
Could do no wrong,
In your eyes.
Robbed of their childhoods,
Never got to be kids,
News flash Mamma!
So were we,
Became mothers before we even gave birth,
Fixing bottles and changing diapers,
Combing hair putting kids on busses,
Making full course meals by the age of 10.
