Who is that beautiful goddess standing there, next to those two earth angels
Does she realize that her very presence here, is heavenly and also very regal
Does looking at her most gorgeous body, cause you to simply ignore her beautiful mind
I don’t think that it matters much, because no matter how you view her she is really divine
Could this be Aphrodite the goddess of love, beauty and sexual rapture
This would explain the desire and need, for the Adonis that she must capture
Could this be Artemis the goddess of hunt, wilderness, animals, girl, childbirth and plague
The way that she often downplays her beauty and qualities, makes her sometimes vague
Could this be Athena the goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroes, handcraft and reason
I could never understand why she always seemed just ripe to me, like a fruit in its perfect season
Could this be Demeter the true goddess of agriculture, horticulture, grain and harvest
She Possesses’ a natural essence, that for mortal men as me, does present quite a test
Could this be Hera she is the queen of marriage, women, childbirth, heirs’ kings and empires
At the very thought of her, this is the image that first comes to mind, and the others it inspires
Could this be Venus the of Goddess and love and beauty; the one whom it seems all men desire
To confirm her presence I count it my duty but I have to sometimes close my eyes to not start a fire
When there is pain she is sensitive enough to hurt and then more than strong enough to heal
But does she ever really ever trust herself enough to take the risk to show how she really feels
Could this be a brand new goddess who somehow only subconsciously for me appears’
Maybe I’m just lost and mistaken because like her name I need someone who hears
The spirits of Arete, Himeros, Hedone, Aletheia, Eirene, Tyche and Nike are her personified concepts
She’s so amazing that not even the mythological deities of Olympus could describe her great depth
While I may question many things about her, she is most definitely worthy, of her very own throne
Move over all you other goddesses, and welcome your newest sister, her name is goddess Simone
