The Gentleman

He’ll gladly pull out your chair, confidently hold the door; anticipate your smile and expect nothing more

He never runs in a pack, but he’s the alpha dog; has such a unique bark and write’s his own monologue

He’s not the star attraction, just chivalry’s one man band; never plays a wrong note, he’s a gentle man

He’ll understand your needs, long before you ask; make the sunshine your spotlight, only to let you bask

He pays just enough attention, so you know he’s not obsessed; compliments your hair and how nice you dress

He’s not the star attraction, just considerations one man band; he never sings a bad song, he’s the gentleman

He’ll ask you out, just when the time is right; make you feel special, you’ll be his lady and he’ll be your knight

As one thing leads to another, in time you’ll find; your concerns are in his heart, while he is on your mind

He’s not the star attraction, just love’s one man band; through this transformation, he’s now your gentleman

He makes each day a pleasure, his actions so well timed; never leaves you on empty, his pump’s always primed

He won’t overlook your desires, finding the ones you hid; looks after you better, than mama and daddy ever did

He has no representative, the same man shows up each day; he’s the gentlemen and the gentleman, he will stay

He’s now your star attraction, your loving one show; not one day goes by, that he does not let you know…..

That he is The Gentleman
