Long misty days of summer
calm evening breezes gently blowing
awakening me softly from a slumber
where memories pass on by
as leaves drifting upon a stream
...at days end in autumn...
sparkling waters reflecting hues
...coloring the majestic skies...
in the twilight falling stars drop
from the heavens above
these are the days
we hear the calling of love
cool autumn evenings
gently evoke imaginings
lifting my spirits,
perhaps even bringing the blues
in times when sadness reigns
where winter sings
while the candle flame burning
...ensures the returning...
while life floats in the balance
as if half+asleep
awaiting the return of the calling
...waiting for spring...
