I guess when It comes to me

They speak on me as if they have written my biography

Walked in my shoes, struggled everyday besides me...

When you don't give ppl any actions

You give them room to imagine

Space to give up stories about how your life's in shambles and your far from glory ...

But people will speak on you as if they know what it is

As if they mothered you and brought you to life and kicked it with you when you was the stoop kid...

Lil do they know you a bold one

Lil do they know your story is a old one

You knock down Goliath's and they was one of em

But the difference is you ain't have to bash them to get where your goin

So when you ask some one to define me

Make sure they were there when the blueprint was made to design me

When I was constructed to conquer challenges bigger then Noah's ark

Days when I fought and gained scars deeper than the toughest spartan

They won't tell you how my valleys were and how high climbed each mountain

Truth be told when you ask someone about somebody how much good do they say About them ...

They won't say she's intelligent brown skin Beyoncé

They give telephone versions of fairy tales they heard the other day.

Let the rumors , hatred and insults be the step stool to rise above it all

They talked about Jesus , and on the bad days it's his name they call.
