out of sight out of mind
slowly forgetting you exist until its to late
a sudden tragedy evokes emotions tucked to deep
you're not part of my normal routine
you're unconsciously ignored
social media claims to keep you connected
but
i havent heard from you in a long time
youre a mouse click away
the button never seems to get pressed
same thing goes with contacts in my phone
family who never cross my mind on a regular basis
simply just a contact stored
we have to put more effort in getting to know one another
dont let the distance be an excuse
including busy schedules
there is some time in the day where we can send a message or a short phone call saying i was thinking of you
i know its going to take some getting use to
i know our existence came out of the clear blue sky
lets not make his mistake be in vain
