As life's birth record began to play out, the syringe dropped pushing crack music through our rhythms and blues

She, smooth as brass in an open jazz melody, he, was a keynote in the percussion of rock and roll heartbeats

They, were the boom bap in the classic soul of hip hop and a run when riding the cadence becomes an extended solo on eardrums

Love turned their euphoric grasses blue where they laid restless soaking in the county until reggae pop'ped up like fireworks

She was sound waves surfing through wavelengths leaving musical notes on his time lines, he was tattooed with the graffiti of her word play

She was poetry, fragmented sentencing that last forever, dark diction, metaphors and similes; nursery rhyme and spoken word, she was poetry the pulse of the brain the artery of the soul, she was poetry, she was poetry, she  was  poetry, but so was he

*snap snap snap* I felt the surge of lyrics as I read this piece. The imagery I loved! I had to read this out loud to truly do this piece justice. Thank you for sharing!
