if i say that never been one to say much about
what i think about anything in particular i'd be lying
still contemplation focused upon one thing or another
you think... will not benefit a person
who finds pleasure in tearing other people down
doing what they think ...is real has never been my thing
just gives them a platform to get personal...
knowing they don't like the way you think
it makes me wonder what good it does
like an adolesent fight
what's not worth
putting up a good fight...
cause whats at stake
might not be what you think it is
though, there are those whose views
are from another mindset
i may not happen to share
but what should i care
their views ...are old news
and i may not be inclined
to expend the time
though someday will come
when something said, will create a spark...
make my face turn red and hot
hurt someone that i love
and make my day
ready for a battle
of principles
so off i go
to war
hope it works out the way i think it should
but there's danger everywhere
that who you choose to battle against
will turn out ...just to be someone
whose only principles are naught
and the distraction will only bring them satisfaction
not to mention the attention that they sought
from somebody like you or me,
seriously
be careful how you get drawn into...
something that, turns out that it's not
save your intellect and energy for protecting
whats important to you...
and let some other person be fooled
into a trap...
to draw their mind into something
thinking that it is something
when after all is said and done
turns out to be
it's not...
