A Mother’s Rap
Honor thy mothers with all your might
Give them respect and honor day, and night
They are the ones who brought you through
Carried you for nine months, and raised you too
Suffered to bring you into this world
Cared for you as a child, and it wasn’t a pearl
Some were alone, went through hardship, and pain
So give her respect, and lift up her name
Why are you calling women es, and whores
They are someone’s sister, or daughter
What if it were yours
Don’t hate, meditate on the goodness of life
You have a gift, now let’s get it right
Things work together for your good it’s told
Say it with dignity, let your life unfold
It’s time for a change, from old to new
Rap on, Rap on, do what you do
We heard the hard side, of where you come from
Now tell us where you’re going
This is from the Mums
