They stripped you bare

Left you barren

How, They built weapons

And left you bloodied

Bleeding as they pillaged

Every inch of you

Till your wells ran dry

A shell, broken, cracked

All that remains

A carcass left behind

A vultures domain

Dear Africa

Let me tell your story

Speak in one voice

Which echoes

The sentiment

That lies beneath your pain

Tell them how, your offspring

Those which remain

Are left fighting

Declaring war on each other

Seeking to claim power

Protecting borders
