Would never leave me this way,
With shattered pieces of a broken heart
When a soul mate hovering somewhere near
Sensing our presence, even from afar
Hears our anguish written in the stars
Even as we step away into light

Before we slip away
As the falling echoes ebb
From the last trembling heartbeats
Of a frantic heart, failing one last time
Falling from the saddle of our consciousness
Our spirit is torn away from this life
Refusing until the very last moment
Before rising spirits merge and condense
Drawn from the hollow shell of one empty vessel
Being poured into another
Like rains falling into a stream
A spirit pool waiting for its arrival,
Called by the moon to turn with the tides
Rising up into the ocean of stars,
Joining the stardust once more
On a journey into forever
Although, we may think of sadness
Let us not forget why we are here
To spread the joy of this life
To part from the only existence
