Making of Waves

it ain't no fun when the grits are cold

the heats turned off in your stove

the microwaves broke

a can of soup in cupboard

can't find the can opener

it's somewhere in the kids room

underneath all the clutter

stuck, can't get your mind on

the right track coz it's in the gutter

too many siblings, don't look like

sisters and brothers raised by 

county check recipients 

welfare mothers

one grows up to be a physician

the other graduates high school

and goes off to prison

one becomes a door to door salesman

the other a streetwalker

one drinks fine wines

the other Johnny Walker 

one pebble made a ripple effect

funny how different choices

still connect
