most folks don't like what's good for 'em
that's why most don't eat their vegetables
the only green that makes their eyes gleam
is on money webbed in semen
rich quick schemes scammed
spammed mailed by scums instant gratification
melts like Carnation ice cream cones
have you ever sat and thought
what if the beat stops in my heart
what have I done prior to the attack
what would you do if you could come back
who would you be, how would you act
would you push forward with all you held back
these are all the mistakes that we make
if we could change why do we stay the same
when the power is in our hands why do we
always hand it over to the man truth is we don't try
afraid we going to die, we do it all the time
death is a wake up call that's all, for us all to live
when someone dies we say "Rest In Peace
but say good night when they fall to sleep
just speaking from the heart
"have you ever thought"?
