if home is where the heart is
im knocking at the front door
but shes not there to welcome me in
they must be keeping her sedated in chambers
away from me asleep in bed
upstairs on the second floor
and this house is pretty big
outside ive tried throwing rocks up at her window
im hoping i may be standing at the wrong room
and shes in another one down the hallway
and there just trying to make it harder for me to get to her
because i can hear her calling out my name
and its constricting to the heart chambers
the right one and the left one
i put my right hand over my chest
just to check if it beats still
because once it stops
if she doesn't emerge
then a beast will
no pledge of allegiance  
but with liberty and justice
if its not as the lord says
don't expect me to be still
if home is where the heart is
i cant get in where my heart lives
she is my heart and without her
i guess you could say that im heartless
contrary to the fact of how big that mine is
