Black Expressions

life

We shall run through the fields without lilies

Speak with foreign tongues and dance with heavens grace

Ancient drums hum in the air of freedom born

No longer shall our lives be scattered and torn

Through the storm; death and life have emerged

Dreams shall be everlasting while creativity is

free to roam

With clear eyes we now see and awareness is born

Determined to be collectively self-conscious of my

Affirmatives and not let your judgment of me leave

A scar

For my head will be high and my ambitions even higher

As I run my race not stopping because of defeat but only

Because I have justifiably proven my case!
