Here stands a woman whose heart has been broken
Their actions never matched the words that were spoken
So i may say or do things that have you thinking is she jokin
Lies have been a trend and the truth isnt something im usually soaked in
So please be careful with me, my heart is so fragile
Its been abused for so long, it hasnt seen kindness for awhile
You seem so genuine and different, but the last relationship was vile
Please forgive me cause i know you're good but the last one was hostile
Please be careful with the words that you say in my ear
I feel so safe and secure everytime that you're near
When we talk it feels as if you're always so sincere
Truly a different feeling and you make my doubts disappear
But please be careful with my heart, like it's in your hand
Last time i was deceived and hurt by a selfish man
He led me to believe he would be there from beginning to end
But then he broke my heart and off he ran
I trust you and you should know that scares me
So i apologize cause i know I can be real petty
Its hard to unlock the door and if i give you the key
Then what is there that's left to protect me
