I’m on a different level
Dig this truth like muddy shovel
Fight the power cuz I’m a rebel
Social media’s dumbing us down
Feigning for likes when most result with a frown
Ads of fads keep depleting our savings
Wants versus needs starve imaginary cravings
Consumers addicted and conflicted
Lusting for new and shiny products like pornographic fiction
Psychosomatic its tragic cuz we still scratching to itch it
Ecommerce is worse when we click, buy, then ship it
Don’t need it, greed spent it, conscience remains quiet
Hoarding goods, gadgets, and gifts
Technology’s a personal genie granting our every wish
Instant gratification’s punishment is debt
And a future of junk, wasted time and regret
