So many of you everywhere
Driving in big cars with small dogs without a care
At the airport, Starbucks and Whole Foods
Yet I rarely see y'all on the evening news,
Getting got or getting shot
Safe far away in your place behind a lock
Suburban or moving downtown to be urban
With four times the earning
And net worth your of your ethnic' neighbors
They take the bus to work, while you read the papers
Some are liberal while others are conservative
But most get nervous when
I walk by, they clutch purses and lock doors
Your ancestors took mine, so now I'm gonna take yours?
Black Americans give to a fault
But we get charged for things we haven't bought.
