A fly dropped
into my soup—drowning.
Down the drain
I poured—watching an old lady
digging through the garbage…
I puked as she ate the stale bread
thrown away the day before.
Yes…my life…
has had its fecal moments…
has not been like a bed of roses—
Yet…it ain’t been flushed down the toilet.
