It sounds a little too American
But sales is life were within
Everything you say and do is quid pro quo
Hoping for yeses, tolerating maybes, and hating no’s
As a kid we want new toys, to play games and make friends
You can achieve these goals but it all depends
On how you sell your value and promise returns
To gain trust you must reassure other’s concerns
As a young adult, hormones drive you to seek a companion
An uphill swim, most flop around like beached salmon
Your attitude, appearance, and focus is a hopeless
Attempt to inflict your voodoo and hocus pocus
To trick them into liking you and give you money, attention and time
Will she date me? Does she hate he? We’re all losing our minds!
