My Dreads...I still got a good amount of hair on my head for a 35 year old, I look at some cats from my high school class and that has disappeared like the looks and body shape of the popular girl senior year, some linings have been pushed back like black folks at the bank, applying for a business loan, and yes, I don’t have a full head of waves any more, but there are still a few ripples up there which allow me to swag surf on microphones, I am grateful I can still put a stocking cap on after greasing my to step out the door in a suit, take my woman out on a date so I can see her walk that walk in those heels, because I may have lost some of my hair at 35 but I still haven’t lost my ability to ***, so I’m grateful, and in the good book my man Samson’s strength was in his hair, then Delilah cut it, so maybe that’s why some Black students are told that you can’t walk across this stage until you are trimmed up, nice and neat, meet the standards that won&rs... |
