I ask myself, if you were someone I once knew, why would you leave my life?
You were a friend I liked to see smile without showing disappointment
You were my closest confidant, whom I could share my darkest confessions with during my thinking
Your shoulders were always there for me to laugh and cry on during my emotional release
You repeatedly lifted me high each second of my life
You were someone I could truly trust and express my deepest thoughts to whenever I needed a true listener
I went through many emotional trails without you; I made a way through it all
I still have your picture, I look at it once in a while and I just smile from those times
I was far gone in my problems, where I didn't care why you faded from my life
God gave me a clearer view of life and I noticed then you were gone
