Before I ever saw a beach
You described sand beneath your feet
I didn’t understand until I felt the heat
The Cool sensation where sand and water meet
Much of life mirrors this analogy

Like a movie versus the book

Adjectives and verbs simply canNot explain it
From the rush of your first crush
To disappointment when love’s mistaken for lust
Grief can make the heart bust
When another violates one’s trust
But when it’s real
That euphoria you feel
Is the closest mortals get to perfect
So every failure is worth it
That elusive high is ever so brief
You feel like God/time is a thief
