Began as an ember and ended with a blaze
The nation was swept with a newfound craze
Where lies replaced facts and left the masses in a daze
Both sides fought aimlessly for causes in which they did not believe
While instigators played from a safe distance pulling tricks from their sleeves
The poor and less educated risked limb and life
Mostly black and brown with a sprinkle of white
The oligarchy smartly view the war from screens
