remembering when rivers

and train tracks

sufficed to wall whites and blacks

and the setting sun

was the only border guard

that confined

each group to his own yard.

now there’s this big talk

about a wall;

just look at these bigot’s

pompous gall!

remember? some towns

even had a boundary/street!?!
