With age comes more fears
Regrets, lost and tears
All the potential and could have beens
Are just history and dust in the wind
Alas, don’t worry about the past
And other things you can’t control instead ask
What can be done?
Reflect on all the battles won
Be grateful for all that you have
You can try counting all of your blessings, but you ain’t that good at math!
Every accident avoided, every day spent above ground
Those billions of seconds gifted, it’s really quite profound
I’m grateful for another year
