Us black folk done evolved over time, look at all we been through
We may have came a long way, but only in our imagination
Taking four steps back in our forward migration

Looking up to a mystical white man as our only begotten savior
Look at our enviroment, the news, even the internet
It all shows us that we ain't free as of yet
99.99% of all black men nationwide's got some type of a criminal background
So how can it be said that our life's safe and sound
Who holds the cards to our economic stability
Sure the hell ain't us, even though we have the ability
Still thinking that massa is our best benefactor
Still using our backs to carry his load like a dragged out, two legged, broken down tractor

We as a black people living in the good ol' U.S. of A.
Has lost the meaning of our blackness way back in the day

A Helpmate. Let's define that term

Like if one's down, the other can be an encouragement to be strong

Joy and Pain
In this world exists two absolutes
There's no in-between or no substitutes

Nothing can ever over exceed the real mccoy

However in an instant, here comes the pain
where it bowls even the strongest person over, like torrential rain

The answer is yes, but it's delicate and constantly needs refining

Looking for love has been mankind's endless quest
Regardless of it's discovery, it never gives anybody rest
Again and again, it's gets used and abused
Till it's meaning turns to dust, and the thought gets excused
Many people view love as a polite, almost happy distraction
But The signs of time proves it's diluted, with no hope of satisfaction
Love, which was once a natural form of mutual expression
Now it's so superficial that it can lead to abyssmal depression
I personally dare to ask, what is true love?
Forever gone unanswered, but it's the only thing that I keep thinking of !!!

Then perhaps I'm ready, you're ready, for a quick suggestion
Love yourself first and foremost and put aside that stubborn pride
Deep within the recesses of the mind, leaving all doubts behind

Make Pain Your Best Friend
Why make pain your best friend?
Let's draw up 3 reasons that's easy to comprehend
so an understanding can be made
and this misguided concept can be used as an aid
Reason 1, it's a constant reminder
that you're alive, so stop hittin the grinder
of imminent idiodicy of mental suicide
and let life's experiences be your guide
reason 2, it's a good problem solver
so stop living in a chaotic revolver
get a grip, potato chip, stop biting your bottom lip
let that drama slip off your shoulders until it's a tiny blip
Reason 3, it'll make you real strong
if you're weak, work it out and you'll last long
instead of being a sap that walks into a trap
you'll be a better person with a logical thinking cap

A small muscle that can make a man physically agile

Bigger than Einstein, but in God's eyes it has made him defiant
Built for authority, it makes the body move

Even a bad idea can sometimes work itself out for the good

Police brutality, when will it stop?
Black people of today wish they could be a cop
To give back to the white shark on what they gave us The uncivilized beatings and the unjusitified detainments meant to enslave us
