Twisted

A single snowflake 

of many

falls in its own 

silent space 

carried by cold 

driving downward

following a twisted path

riding gusts of cold wind

through the forest

as trees moan in chorus

relentlessly crying

making a haunting refrain

moonlight dawning

to find a tiny snowflake

at an angle just right
