Many moon ago and

then some

I served in a war zone

it was Vietnam

Americans have served in war

zones from the beginning

it will be this way to the ending

Most war zones were in other countries

Many Americans think about war zones as

in other countries

dont you

they think they have  never been

in a war zone

but you are wrong everyday

you are livin in a war zone

Its here in America listen to

all the senseless killings

War zone all around you

Dont need a military uniform on

to know you livin in a war zone

it is now called home

Thanks you Mrmelody7. While there wee many Brothers "Over There", many of us here, left school and joined SNCC, CORE, SCLC and other Home War Zone Civil Rights Organization; struggling to make it better for the Brothers when they returned. And here we all are Home together, still dealing with the war zone we call Home. I'll never forget the story my Uncle (who raised me after my Father died) told me about when They returned from WW II. He said they were all together on the ship coming Home; but when the ship docked, The White troops went down one way (the front) and the Black troops went down another way (the back). Thanks for sharing this powerful, profound piece. I hope the younger generation will also be inspired by it. Peace and Love, mlowe5

Indeed? Where?. We have to get beyond the messiah complex and move on towards all being disciples in and of the struggle. Let us continue to "preach" the "resurrected word. Peace and Love, mlowe5.
