When my favorite rappers died decades ago
Getting frustrated online whenever I search
At all the New Jacks current net worth
Way more than mine and my top five
The God MC’s who are still alive
Bad contracts signed to EMI and Jive
Still pretending to live lavish like Magnum PI
But really just renting a duplex
A normal sized lifestyle, Durex
No condoms, baby mammas garnished all them checks!
They all on social media showing mad disrespect
Critics said my Sophomore album was trash
Flow was cool, but my style is a relic of the past
My fan base is dead, in jail, or too old
To buy my independent albums, plus my concert tickets ain’t getting sold
When the game changed my label dropped me
And I promised my momma that I’d never do reality TV
I can’t act, DJ, nor famous enough to get appearance fees
So now I work for a radio station playing whack hits everyday
Wondering how in the h3!! did my life turn out this way?
