Imagine being bought, sold, and traded

Killed, raped, and confiscated

More valuable that gold yet treated like an animal

African slaves made the American Dream tangible

For everyone save themselves

Laws forbade reading and marriage making life a living hell

America wanted independence from Britain to protect the institution of slavery

Crispus Attucks only got death for his sacrifice and bravery

The engine of the industrial revolution

Was fueled by slaves picking cotton in perpetual destitution

Yes, it's evident, that Patric Henry was quoting us, "Give me liberty of give me death!" We are still echoing this sentiment, and they are still answering with giving us death! Peace and Loce, mlowe5.

Great Take....indeed, ain't it kind of eerie and yet comforting that Brother Crispus was purported to be the first that was sacrificed....tht is some debt owed and gives me comfort that in his sacrifice centuries later (might take til the end of this one) he will not have given his life in vain....thanks for sharing....ONE
