Just out for a midnight stroll
In my quiet community
Deep inhalations of summer’s air
Puts me with the stars
In a “neu-phoric” state mind.
Soon a new day will come
When the sun rises but until then,
I walk in admiration of the night’s
Silence and an almost full moon
Nature’s sirenic views surround me
Calm is the warm breeze that blows,
Peace and tranquility
Fulfill my appetite for the evening
As in the moment they allow me to be
Simply myself the way I want to be
Getting to know myself
Just a little more than before.
I feel the embrace of the
Warm summer’s air.
Hmmm, such a divine feeling
I wish I could’ve hugged it back.
So as I approach the final few
Concrete slabs of pathway
I begin preparing my mind and body
For tonight’s slumber,
Taking a moment to look back
Just before turning the corner
I’m smiling, shaking my head
In amazement at the
Wonders surrounding me.
Holding on a few more moments
Allowing my experience to resonate
Before turning my lock one click left.
Such a wonderful evening.
