Nowadays i hear of people calling thenselves a player
Men and women alike, claiming the fame of a little known mayor
What they're missing is the matters of the heart
The very thing that sets all of us apart
Anybody can lay one another down, and go through the motion
But can one bring peace to a turbulent and violent ocean?
If something worth caring for's about to fall to pieces
Is that one's willing to pick them before sanity decreases?
To answer that question is only telling your self worth
Your measure of faith that God's given you since birth
Are you willing to let Him guide you into parts unknown
Or are you going to let time chew you up and spit out just the bone
To love and to be loved is man's ultimate treasure
Which goes on beyond this world without measure
People stop playing the fool and act like you're grown
It's all about real love here, Not Romancing the Stone
