Go Go Elijah Go Go light that fire! (X3)
From 1st Kings 17 to 2nd Kings 2
Here’s what God told Elijah to do
King Ahab, Queen Jezebel both hated God
And Killed all of His prophets with a ruthless vice squad
God told Elijah to GO GO GO!!
Tell Ahab, no mo’ rain ‘till I say so!
Elijah challenged Ahab to a ‘Sacrifice test’
On Mt. Carmel to see which God is best
Elijah had two sacrifices ready to ignite
Ahab’s Gods versus the Lord to see who was right
The first to spontaneously combust
Was the God that all of Israel could trust!
Ahab’s prophets, they tried in vain
Singing and dancing, but there simply was no flame!
Elijah soaked his sacrifice with water and prayed
When the Lord’s fire lit, all of Israel was amazed!
The flame was so hot, it even burned the stone altar!
King Ahab’s reign, immediately began to falter
The sky filled with clouds
The wind began to blow
When it rained, farmers exclaimed, ‘Now our crops will grow!’
A Chariot of fire appeared from above to send
Elijah to heaven in an inferno whirlwind
Like Enoch, Elijah went to heaven alive
FYI Ahab and Jezebel died!
This is the story of Elijah, so now you know
The moral? Be like Elijah and GO GO GO!
