A Rose to signify that the doors to my heart for you are closed
A Rose in appreciation of the well-acted out imitation of love
that you allowed me to feel
One lonely Rose to signify the beginning of the end and the truth that life slowly presented and revealed
I leave you a beautiful Rose as a part of the pain you were never there to erase
A Rose that continuously blooms with drops of water on the petals like the tears that traveled on my face
A Rose at your door
For all the things you never said and the love that once lived within us before
Before it all traveled into that dark path
Before the hatred in you became the enemy when you gave into its raft
Before the before was even said
Before the life in what used to be us was destroyed and dead
I leave for you a Rose!
A Rose that will eventually wither and die
A Rose that will dry up and silently cry
A Rose because it is R.I.P to what once was you & me
I leave you a Rose with no thorns to cause you pain
Instead I wash away memories of a love that never was with the puddles from the rain
