Go Jesus, it’s your birthday
You gonna save our lives from the worst fate!
You died and was revived, to send us to heaven’s gate
So we gonna give you praise, cuz it’s your birthday!

December 25th is about more than trees and gifts
Let’s travel to Bethlehem and picture this
Away in a major
No vacancies in the inn, for our savior
His parents, Joseph and Mary
Travelled with a foal of a donkey, who would carry
Lil’ Baby Jesus, in this instance
They travelled to Bethlehem, to be counted in the census
Ordered by Caesar Augustus, the Emperor of Rome
By royal decree, everyone had to return home
To be counted, so that they all could the taxed
Digg that, the nativity was caused by a bureaucrat!
Matthew and Luke detailed the birth of Jesus Christ
700 years after Isaiah prophesied his life
The wise men who brought myrrh, frankincense, and gold
Weren’t kings, numbers unknown, and didn’t show ‘till Jesus was months old!

Matthew chapter 1 versus 18
Mary was to marry Joseph, but here’s the thing!
Mary was with child through the Holy Spirit!
When she told Joseph, he simply couldn’t hear it!
He had it in his mind, to get a divorce
But the Lord appeared to Joseph and changed his course!
Told him to marry Mary and go to Bethlehem
Name the baby Jesus which means to rescue - God’s lamb
Joseph did as the Lord commanded, free of doubt and mystery
That’s the story of Jesus’ birth, and the rest is history!
