that my words
are often like knives,
cutting through lies
that the blood of truth
may flow—
washing away
veiling matter from
our minds—
that we may realize
the need for poetic wise
voices to shed
revealing light
on the present threats
to our lives:
keeping liberty always
in our sight
and our children always
doing what’s right!
and we keeping the light
of truth shining bright.
