The tornadoes of present life
teaches us lessons that watered
pages of past hurricanes left behind.
Indeed, the thunderstorms of each
has had its meteorological-like spiritual
allegorical messages impacted upon us.
In the damaging aftermaths,
mothering oceans and seas of
the life stuffing-out weathered
justices send their devious waves
of shaded regret and false remorse
to the devastated shores of the grieving
relatives suffering the breath-taking
loss of loved innocent kinships.
Today, the tearful whining of despair
must no longer keep us waiting on
answers that have already been sent
down from the beseeching prayers—
prayers that have been sent up to God.
Rather, let us now be about employing
the divine wisdom and guidance sent to us
to gear ourselves for the forecasted tribulations.
Indeed in our spiritual preparations
in the midst of the present overcast, let us
be about boarding-up festering fear and apathy;
let us be about the powering-up of our spiritual
generators; booting-up our hopes; cloaking
ourselves with faith and covering ourselves
with the umbrella of God’s saving grace:
No longer the prey but now the prepared chasers
of the whirlwind twisters…on their way…
