Fists To Silence

When I Was A Child It Was Sad To Have Witnessed A Majority Of The Fathers Were Beating On The Mothers Mostly In Front Of Us Childen

It Seemed To Me That Hardly Anyone One Cared To Help Nor Came To The Rescue

I Still Remember The Repeated Sounds Of Fist To Face And Screams Til Silent As Her Body Laid Motionless To The Floor

I Would Run From The Scene Confused, Angered, And Distraught To My Souls Core

I Have Always Wanted To Ask The Question, Why Would A Man Unleash His Fustrations On Beauty, Leaving Bruises, Internal Fears, And Blackened Eyes Filled With Tears?

For This I Have Chosen To Distance Myself From Those Men Throughout The Years

To Conclude, I Have Vowed The Promise As The Husband To My Wife And The Father To My Daughter

Let Any Man Bring Harm Their Way

There Will Be Slaughtered

Amen, for the just... woman is the backbone of civilization, not just a rib.

Power! Many have bare the scene, but few have changed the narrative for better.

Great write TEEDUB. I thank God for every man that made the decision to live by these means. And it works both ways for women too. Neither of us should have to raise our hands to another except in rejoice and praise. Thank you for sharing this.
