In the midst of trials and tribulations
there are storms, earthquakes, volcanoes
and kneed-out once breathable air; but
then there’s also God’s inhalable air of
hope, faith, and courageous determination.
Thus we must continue in our struggle
To breathe this liberating air of life as we
exhale the stifling air of oppression and its
systemic racist jurisprudence that’s ballooning
justifiable murders of non-mattering black lives.
Lady Justice was not blindfolded
for nothing and her unbalanced scales
was no accident of architecture nor
was the 5th amendment an afterthought!
Remember, the introductory wording
of what was initially their document,
held it self-evident that all men—not 3/5
thereof—were created equal; intimating
freedom and justice would be only for
those declared to be full human beings.
Having liberated the reality of our humanity
we must now be about the liberation and
purifying of the putrid air of racist American
jurisprudence that our liberated lungs may
freely breathe the air of justice and equality.
