News and social media posts like bullets being sprayed
White crime and death is well protected
And hardly ever displayed, replayed, or disrespected
But when Black lives die
It’s highly publicized
America has long been desensitized
Mass media hangs strange fruit as a sadistic prize
We’ve seen George Floyd die at least a dozen times!
That sets a precedent
We’re being brainwashed with all that time spent
Is it for justice or just laws and rules being bent?
Innocents lost, as the police commit
More crimes that they’ll never repent
More preacher prologues from busy pulpits
