Every time I decide to watch the news
Mostly it's sad and degrading, that it gives me the blues
And then I hear a reprive that turns into a promise
To right the wrong. Sure; got me thinking like Doubting Thomas

Wars start ove a near thought-out solution
all it causes here is a bunch of a verbal pollution
Countries causing chaos over drama to see who's Bluffing
To find out later that empty words means nothing

It's heard again and again, in slogans and catch phrases
another form of bribery, leaving many in glassy gazes
wondering if what's being said has substance or is it full of stuffing
Now open wide to see empty words that means nothing

People getting all emotional whenever life doesn't go their way
thrashing and lashing as others stand around to watch the foray
Until that person(s) runs out of breath and start huffing and puffing
still stuck in the rut saying empty words that means nothing

So I say to all of you who speaks on what is considered the truth
How strong is your conviction, or did you stumble behind your goof
This world will never change as long as man keeps on engulfing
This false sense of security behind empty words that means nothing
